Grounded in the Transition characteristic Apply Living Systems Design, this series invites us to deepen our understanding of how living systems work and how we can design in ways that support regeneration, resilience, and emergence.

As current systems continue to overlook our deep interdependence with the natural world, many people are left without clear pathways or community support for meaningful action. At the same time, nature offers 3.8 billion years of intelligence and adaptation.

When communities come together  learning from their ecosystems, from each other, and across sectors  they can begin to reimagine and rebuild the systems that shape our lives: economies, education, health, food, and more.

This webinar series - Learning from and Designing with Nature - offers free, curated webinars and interactive spaces that explore how we can reconnect with the wisdom of the living world and apply it to the systems we are part of. We will explore this in various different contexts: Leadership, Nature Connection, Inner Transition, Activism & more.

Panel: Learning from and Designing with Nature

To close out the Learning from and Designing with Nature series, we will host a panel discussion exploring inspiring stories and perspective to support folks for taking the next step in their journey.

This will be an open-ended, lightly facilitated conversation diving into the broader inquiry of the series:

How do we move from extracting from nature to designing with her and what becomes possible when we do?

Together, we’ll reflect on how deep listening, relationship with place, and collective awareness can inform design approaches rooted in reciprocity, resilience, and care.

Staying Connected Between Sessions

Join the conversation on Community Waves - our ethical, algorithm free, digital platform for change-makers to connect and share learnings, resources and invitations.

The Transition Platform is ad-free, open-source, GDPR-compliant, and built to support changemakers. It offers video conferencing, community building tools, and space to explore emerging ideas, share resources, and connect with folks from all over the world. There is both desktop and app accessibility. We hope that this will serve as a place where people can share invitations, resources, ask questions etc. and replace the need for Facebook and other less ethical social platforms.

We hope that conversations on the platform can lead to the emergence of continued learning, sharing and deepening connections - a space for emergence!

Support the movement

We offer these webinars free of charge to spread the good work and inspiration that these people are doing. It takes countless hours of coordination, resources and preparation to bring this all together.

If you have received value, inspiration from the series and want to reciprocate, or simply want to support us, we are now fundraising to put together an in-person international transition gathering in Portugal for May 2027. We do not have a budget for this, and are relying on donations and support to make it happen. If you are able to donate and support this cause it would be greatly appreciated!
